Marvel Universe: “The Mandarin” (Iron Man 3)
Are those double quotes subtle enough? Well, subtlety’s kind of had its day.

The usual patterns of “dude with casual blog” are still in force over here. Flurry of blog-related productivity, real life gets in the way, post hinting at upcoming stuff, nothing proceeds to happen, lather, rinse, repeat. I’ve come to sheepishly realize that the last time I thought “oh, good, I get a week to sit down and put stuff up again — or at least schedule a bunch of posts” was… late 2016?
(and then comes the Spongebob-writing-an-essay absurdity of frittering time away on minutia, like the ten minutes I burned figuring out how to keep WordPress from borking the GIF post above.)
Nevertheless, time to get back to it while we can. This time, we revisit some old and slightly less old customs as we work our way back to present day. We’ll take a good look at a familiar Avengers villain this time around, and try to branch out as we go along.
